I like this one: https://www.manning.com/books/soft-skills It's good in general and gives great life lesson how to navigate your career and the choices you may face.

Is it weird? I feel like it's more like Amazon just trying to monopolize everything. There are articles out there talking about getting Amazon-ed. Where Amazon would go in your industry and dominate you out the market. ( https:/&#

I use R a lot and I have to say some of these comments are weird. 1. R and Lisp are hardly alike even if it was inspire by it. It's like saying Erlang and Prolog is very similar. If you want learn FP do it in Erlang, Lisp, Haskell, etc

Yeah I don't get these comment comparing Lisp and R rather Python and R. R is such a bad language to learn FP in.

I think the original comment is trying to convey is that perhaps developers should be wary of goodwill. Microsoft have done this in the past. They actively eat the browser market share with IE and left it alone after being the monopoly in w

I think you create a markov chain and from there see if the chain end up in a steady state somewhere. Bayesian use MCMC to indirectly get the joint distribution without actually doing integrating by sampling the distribution and getting the
