I have this dream of an alternate search engine: * Aggressively prune bad actors (spammy, zero-value, etc.) with ML. * I am ok with rated-E only content (no porn, etc). * Zero ads, I am fine with paying premium subscription price / mon

I cannot imagine North has something that Google doesn't already have. Strange buyout decision in my opinion.

I don't understand why FB don't separate news from timeline into its own lane. They both can even be side by side in the UI. This way, news algorithm can be treated differently than other non-political utilities. And there will be

I am a huge fan of server side rendering with progressively enhancing Javascript. It simply feels right to me: * Search engine indexing works as expected. * Informational web pages don't need a lot of interactivity anyway. *

I love it for the purpose of building custom internal apps. What would make it better is if: * It’s open source, therefore installable on-prem and free from vendor lock-in. * It has multiple swappable backends. This thing and Bootstrap can

I didn't see your storage solution. Do you just backup everything on S3? or do you have a SAN, not listed here?

I gotta say... PHP has grown so much and growing further in the right direction (with union types and async I/O). At the speed of its improvements... it's kind of embarrassing other dynamic languages (I am looking at you Python, e
