I like this idea a lot actually. I've been pondering of doing the same thing in Go. There are some edges though... for example what if you want to do further composition based on if/else clause.

If people are really serious about writing virtualization in Rust, they should just contribute to firecracker: https://github.com/firecracker-microvm/firecracker

I have been curious about Olric for a while now. * It is embeddable. * Seems easy to install, even without Kubernetes. I am just missing performance number to answer questions like: Is it significantly faster than etcd? Is it faster than ti

I hate to be a debby downer but this is nothing but virtue signaling. How can we enforce this? Strong individual ethics without ability to do anything about it will simply make engineers feel helpless. And that’s just going to hurt happines

The video search is broken for me, tested on Chrome with the keyword "golang". It's just showing blank.

I am surprised that it doesn't have public interfaces with context. Network file system could use the same interfaces + timeout settings.

As an American who had to use WeChat for some stubborn friends... I think WeChat UI is superior because they organize features in a nice boxed grid. I can ignore things that I don't care about easily.

It has been so long since I last heard activities on Ruby. I had assume people moved on to Go or Rust for high traffic work by now.

I find your story very interesting, thank you for sharing that. It also gives an interesting background as to why questdb is different than all the other competitors in the space.

I don't know about the use-case in work environment. No one I know wants to be that close to each other at work. Small startups, maybe... However, my wife would totally use this. She does this already, "zooming" with her girl
