I hate people that agree to one thing and then do another if it isn't what they want later on. "Yeah, I hired him to shovel my driveway. He said he invented a new shovel called "The Shovel" and needed money to sell it. I invested with hi

Stay away from HFT, big players will eat your lunch. HFT isn't even a game of milliseconds anymore, it's a game of microseconds. You can still do well with algorithmic trading where speed of execution isn't an issue. Work on your strateg

It seems sad to own a second home and not share it with your friends. The thing that makes me the happiest is hanging with my oldest and dearest friends. That often happens at one of our parents second homes (I don't have one), so maybe t

Moving to New York with my wife and two-year old. We've always wanted to experience the city and it's a major change from where we are now (Maine, 15 minute bike to work along the ocean). It scares the crap out of me but it's important to

In general terms, you may need less sleep when you are healthy and fit, but if you are doing 2.5 hour runs you really should be getting extra sleep. Distance running takes a huge toll on your body and you need to do everything you can to

If these guys have the proven ability to modify user records, could you use that as a defense in court? What's to say I didn't create an account, never downloaded anything, and someone else modified my account to say I did?

A friend of mine did that in california for a few years. He was completely legit, rented a warehouse, payroll, taxes, etc. It's a bit too counter-cultural for me (although I don't have a problem with it) but he was good at it.
