I had one of these at a previous job, great keyboard. I still miss the reliability of the thing. Ended up building an ergodox the year after I left, and I've kept with that for the last 6 years.

I'd argue that this.myValue = myValue is a lot clearer than the 'conventional' MyValue = myValue, unless you live in a world where your linter can mandate pascalcase for private fields always (and never otherwise). It's

Related to backgrounding apps, I don't understand why if I split screen an app during a video chat, my video turns off. It's a little awkward if I'm trying to read an email during a Zoom call.

Yes, I would pay (and have done so in the past). Much as I'm willing to pay for good apps on my phone, even though there are plenty of free alternatives.

The thing that happens online, and especially in the linux space, is that the people who participate in the conversation are not the people who the feature-set is restricted for.

Realistically, this is the kind of restriction that's in place to impede the high-frequency & low-capability regime in the space of non-nation-state (or, historically e.g. the 70s, non-peer nation) threats.

I'm guessing the damage numbers are higher because of a number of high-impact city-focused attacks. I live in Baltimore, where all of the city's systems were shut down for a few months over a ransomware attack asking for <100k.

There's a similar game concept (not based on pieces but rather on decisions to reconnoiter) called reconnaissance blind chess[1]. My understanding is that this game is largely used to explore and experiment with AI decision processes i
