Florida is especially problematic, but in general I'm using hospitalizations as a proxy where the hospital systems aren't overwhelmed.

Depending on how old you are, it used to be the norm in magazines and newspapers. You have an educational product so you buy an ad on the educational feature, for example. I understand that advertisers pay for the sites I use and I would t

As always, it's not the ads most of us object to- it's the trackers. Google's original idea for monetizing the web, that you would be interested in something related to what you were searching for, apparently failed and now

I was chatting online with a group of people who are discussing various defogging agents to keep their glasses from fogging when they breathe using a mask. I tried very hard to explain that if the breath was escaping without going through

Same thing happened under Rumsfeld. It was, "get on board or get a different job." Many, but not all, just went along hoping to make the best of it from the inside rather than resign and complain (and have their careers cut shor

Different colors are great even without Tmux. Even in my simple WSL environment I have aliases to open, say, alias liveTerm='urxvt -bg "#5b0000" -fb white &' -so my production ssh will be red, staging green

I was a heavy tmux user until I switched to fluxbox- then I almost forgot about tmux. It is nice for saving sessions though.

What I love about linux is that we have the option of doing this. My main machine in my office is from 2009- 4GB RAM, linux mint and fluxbox. It's time to upgrade as I've gotten away a bit from slinging 1s and 0s but damn- still

The difference is astounding in virtualbox. Ubuntu Gnome is nearly unusable- mint works pretty well. Using i3 for Ubuntu helps quite a bit.
