This makes me so glad I decided to start paying for kagi. Haven't had to mentally or technologically filter out search ads in months.

One way to look at this is that the natural state of things is that everyone has access to the local public square, and only a few have access to regional or national public squares. The early internet was a perturbation in this natural sta

You can also go to bookshop.org, buy the book there (usually for about the same price as Amazon), and most of the profit goes to a local bookstore (which you can choose) instead of a big search engine with warehouses.

+1 Kagi. I expected to get bored and go back to old habits but it's been very impressive and has "stuck" as my default for quite a while now.

True, but as most catchy names go, this one is a bit more nuanced than it might seem. No-till gardening (and no-till farming) is not about *never* tilling the ground. It's about escaping from a regular yearly or biannual cycle of tilli

With a modern heat pump, it is more efficient (most of the time) to burn natural gas at the power plant and then use the generated electricity to heat the home (after accounting for generation and line losses, and other efficiency drains) t
