Honestly, I'm really disappointed with Apple for pro use lately. 1) not testing stuff thoroughly - the i9 mbpro overheating saga ("fixed" by firmware upgrade), this T2 usb2 dropout (which probably isn't fixable at all) -

yeah, I would probably buy one. But perhaps most people don't feel like they need a dslr since phone cameras are getting so good, and dslr's are quite large and heavy. With a full frame sensor your glass is going to be large/

Samsung's Galaxy NX range ran Android but failed to gain mass adoption. I think there is a niche market for this and hope someone else takes it up - apparently Yongnuo has one coming.

I think slowly they will get there with phones. Camera arrays with 3-5 sensors will be common on phones in 1-2 years. That way you get to keep lens sizes very small, but your effective sensor size is quite large, and you can do a lot of oth

They do, but on their higher end video cameras (Sony FS range, Canon C200). They could easily do it on normal dSLR's but have chosen not to. However, you can get very good cinema cameras for not very much money from Blackmagic that s

You don't need to have your own matrix server, just create a room on matrix.org, takes seconds. Try https://riot.im/app

Yes, IRC in the 90s was amazing. I think Reddit captures some of that, Twitter not so much. Matrix/Riot is cool (the redesign just launched - https://riot.im/app ) and has the same concept as IRC of a universe of chat

Sounds pretty good but exhibits the same artifacts/phasing that I've heard with other source separation. Good for forensics etc but I wouldn't use this for music production

This is trained on monte carlo based rendering noise, and optionally uses additional available rendering data like albedo and normal passes. So while the idea of using deep learning for noise reduction in general works, this codebase in par

I really like what they are doing, but they have been working on it for 4 years and have no users. The camera costs 6000 euros and has no internal recording capability.

Nice. It's hard to invent new meaningful, playable acoustic instruments. Respect to anyone who does. Another one I really like is the Array Mbira, up to 7 octave chromatic Mbiras with stereo pickups. https://www.arraymbira.c

Invision is great for quick clickthroughs, and commenting on specific parts of designs. But for handover of Sketch designs, I think Figma works the best - it's cross platform and opens Sketch files well.

Qt was used on unity8. But it didn't (at that time, and probably not now either) have a comparable UI component library to MacOS (or iOS). I know, because we made one from scratch - which wasn't a great idea either. Flutter would
