But, defining the different between trivial and nontrivial inventions is something that is incredibly difficult, if not impossible. In fact, I would argue that trying to set in place a system to decide between trivial and nontrivial inventi

The tribe woman was perfectly fine and wasn't worried about death. The aid worker was the person who was anxious and worried.

I'm not sure if top notch engineering talent is available in a place like Tijuana - from what I've read, it doesn't seem like their education system is churning out engineers a couple a minute like China and India are...

I like Google Docs, but, I find that it is nowhere near the "quality" (well, maybe just features) of Microsoft Word. In fact, I don't think it is even meant to be. I for one would do fine on Google Docs, but, there are many for whom that wo

I don't see where this whole "Windows is becoming less ubiquitous" is coming from. Maybe market share has dropped a bit, but, Microsoft still rules the basically the whole desktop market. Sometimes in the startup world with all the glowing

Why is that a problem? As I pointed out, he's just showed us a metaprogramming trick he thought was cool. That is no indication that he is an inept programmer or someone that should be allowed to teach something like RubyMotion (if he was w

I think this comment is a little unwarranted. Polymorphism wasn't the concept he discovered - the idea of generating the classes (metaprogramming) and the "clever" (well, some would say so at least) was interesting to him. I also don't like

I agree with this. In fact, it isn't really productive even trying to implement a language as complex as C++ (many might say overly complex).

Unfortunately, this problem that you are trying to solve has been tried numerous times and resulted in failure. There's just too many inconsistencies in the way browsers allow loading of Javascript. Something that looks to a scanner as male

JS runs on the links abundantly. You are not sanitizing your inputs, and this is why contenteditables are bad (click on the "this is not a bad idea at all" to see an alert box). http://www.zenpen.io/index.html#4+IEgojgYAA=#FY0xDoMwDEVncgo.

Very true. But, I don't think that applies to everything. I don't think it takes 10,000 hours of practice to design a decent Wordpress theme. In fact, I would say that most college graduates (even from top universities) would still be quite

I mostly worked with small companies in India (only a few projects) before I was 14. And, I am working nowhere close to the amount which even comes close to max. hours.

I totally agree with the "too young" thing. I'm 15 and been freelancing since I was 12, and this gets in the way all the time . People try to take advantage of you once they realize that you're young(er) than most in the field.

I think this would be like relearning touch typing. I don't think the time investment would be worth it. And, thumbs are not dexterous enough to make large words through this system without it getting annoying very quickly.
