It depends on what you mean by "learning". If I'm just looking to get a program to compile and accomplish a relatively straightforward task, I can "learn" enough of a language just by Googling "how do to X"

Wow, I wonder how much damage there will be to the launch complex - some of those chunks of debris are enormous. Hard to imagine that nothing important was hit by falling parts.

I learned the term "riprap" from this article. I've seen plenty of examples in person, I just never knew it had a specific name. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riprap

It's definitely captured my attention. It seems like the kind of thing that a) shouldn't happen or b) if it _does_ happen, should be resolved quickly. The fact that it _did_ happen and is taking much longer to resolve than I would

My rule of thumb is just "don't click on links that are sent to you". If you need to do something, type the URL in yourself, even (especially) if you get an email that looks legitimate. I think the one exception to this would

Another recommendation in this vein is Arthur C. Clarke's "How the World Was One", it provides some fascinating historical context for how we got to where we are today (or rather, where we were in 1992).
