Do we know this as a fact? Do we have proofs it is profitable? I haven’t seen any evidence so far, it’s mostly something repeated and accepted as fact

I honestly don’t know and feel very conflicted about my own ideology. I recognize how broken it is at scale, but also value the personal autonomy, entrepreneurship, nonconformity capitalism promotes. Though my version of capitalism isn’t th

In VC investing there is the saying that most of the value comes from the outliers. I think it’s the same for a lot of domains. I read an interesting article recently on LLMs homogeneity when writing fiction: https://arxiv.org&#x

I’m a capitalist, but the only conclusion I can arrive at is that neo liberal capitalism makes it impossible to « do the right thing ». What we have is the logical result of the incentives at play

What I’m saying is that AI labs are talking so much about software and maths because we already have tools that can say « it’s all good ». That makes it possible and worth it for them to spend 1 week of compute on a problem until the valida

They can rely on compilers, solvers, theorem provers to validate the generated softwares and maths. That’s what makes it possible to iterate quickly in a loop and self correct. You cannot do that in soft industries like legal and medicine
