Along these same lines, one of my favorite examples of this type of work (human factors related to attention/alerting) is "Bitchin' Betty" and company - the female voice that makes up the "oral alert system" fr

I have often wondered how purveyors of this "type of content" might be using machine learning (classification etc). I think this project gives us a good hint of that. I would also echo the sentiment of others in this post: This co

Have you tried ui-router for angularjs 2? Just curious. Routing and E2E testing are my biggest concerns for transitioning our 1.x app to Angular2 -- and I haven't had time to really dig into either in detail. https://ui-rout

This exact title/link has been posted a number of times (>5) in the past 1-2 months [1]. I'd be interested to know which cognitive bias is at work when the instance of the post today gets 480+ points -- but no instances of this

Yeah, I run new django apps right alongside my php5 code. It does definitely take a bit more "muss and fuss" than php5 to configure (mod_wsgi, etc) but is just as easy. You also need to restart apache or change the wsgi loader fil

Looks like the ship is currently off the coast of Lebanon. You can watch/follow this ship in semi-real time as long as it's transponder is active/in-range of a receiver (and not being spoofed): http://www.marinetra

That was fast (site going down)... and suspicious perhaps, considering the ship is basically purpose built for SIGINT and being able to find, loiter and muck around with whatever it wants in terms of undersea cables. [0] - http://

The article you cite for the PLAN system states that it completed it's 7th test flight. This is not operational. For instance the F-35 only recently became "operationally capable" - but it has been flying since 2006.
