Some people do over floss and it can cause permanent gum damage. I assume that is a tiny fraction though.

Are you required to take those 28 days? In the US there is no one telling you to take days, especially since unlimited PTO means businesses no longer have to pay out unused days. With the constant stream of projects there is no opportune ti

You can live paycheck to paycheck and still accrue PTO. Also vacation day doesn't mean spending money on a trip.

Very cool, but I have seen over a decade of alternative robots like this including several iterations of soft bodied robots. However I have yet to see a consumer device that incorporates them. Does anyone know of them being used in their in

Point 2 was the analysis I saw. Context size and token cost grow inversely at a rate that keeps prices constant, almost like supply and demand curves.

I totally agree with the ridiculousness of it, but that's not going to stop people with outsized egos from trying. Or companies that are trying to ride the coattails of a cult of personality.

I dunno about the last part. Rich people under 60 seem to be under the impression they might live forever, either biologically or digitally. Within our lifetime we see people trying to make their digital twin their legal heir.

Science takes years to decades to see a return. Much too long for the quarterly returns folks.

My analogy is LLMs are a gas pedal. Makes you go fast, but you still have to know when to turn.

How much of that will go back into buying Nvidia GPUs? Both of these companies want the bubble to continue. This investment probably helps bridge the concerns with OpenAIs contract with Oracle. If that deal falls through, it would surely be

RTS as a genre is dead, or maybe fractured. The base builders moved into colony or factory management games like Rimworld or Factorio. The strategic battlers moved into games like Dawn of War. I don't think either type of player was tr

Salesforce actually had a really nice module format called LWC that does that. Also supports one way binding. Too bad they never championed outside of customer use.

I think new devs could probably get use of it as a replacement for SO or Google. But if they slam on it and think they can vibe code a whole app, they are going to have a bad time. But NOS may be better. It might make you faster but it does

I view AI like a gas pedal. For an experienced driver it can really help. For someone new, straight into a wall. For some code you go straight for hours and barely touch the steering wheel. For some code it's all wheel and too much gas

Absolutely. The overnight tents I see are much tidier. Usually they take up a very small footprint, have a well secured tarp, and look like they get rolled up neatly every day. They aren't accompanied by a hoard of refuse.
