You wouldn't need to. Let's say they gave you a php script (any server side processing language) you could place it anywhere and it would download new ad content and show it as a first party ad. Easier than changing a cname.

I was told once use the Microsoft rule. If you can't figure it out in 20 minutes ask. I try to investigate as much as possible before asking. It can cut down the number of questions and you can focus on the important gaps.
