I just heard about the flooding yesterday. Sometimes I don’t get the news. I’ll see wall-to-wall coverage on some inane thing, but only learn about huge, destructive flooding from random people I follow on Twitter. Maybe we’re just sleeping

I love our society. Always chasing after solutions to things that aren’t really problems. Ban straws. Ban glasses of water. Ban cow pee. Forget that none of those things here make any material difference.

This is honestly what your “regulated internet” looks like. None of the solutions ultimately address the real issue and are done purely for liability purposes.

Newsguard is a technology meant to control what people see, read, and ultimately think. If you don’t immediately see the dangers of that type of technology then I’m not sure what will convince you otherwise.

Have we as a community decided that newsguard is anything but trash? Why would any of us be willing to submit ourselves to “censorship as a service”? If anything, we need to be breaking apart these types of technological control software. I

We need gadfly news sources like ZH. We need people who take a contrarian view. The only people who shouldn’t be reading ZH are people who believe everything they read. Those people also shouldn’t be reading MSM.

I wonder is the GP has been paying attention in MSM these days. I’ve read “bombshell” after “bombshell” of breaking news regarding the current administration, with nearly everything turning out to be a dud. No apologies and no retractions.

Can you name even a single instance of this ever distributing malware in history? If downloading an anonymous binary makes you feel safer then I think your criticism lacks merit.

On the one hand I think women in general deserve this. The burden of raising our children falls disproportionately on women in our society (all societies?). The moms deserve a lot more than this in fact. On the other hand, the idea of chi

It’s sad that you think this somehow reflects badly on Twitter. I appreciate a company that will opt to be conservative rather than ban-hammer innocent people on accident just to stop a single idiot.

I haven’t seen a hobbyist with a large project use anything other than cylindrical cells. Packs seem more geared towards RC etc. at least from my perspective we’re a long ways away from packs being a better value.

I’m most excited not about the cars, but about all of the battery factories (hopefully) being spun up to meet the demand. 18650s are still relatively pricy and challenging to get cheaply without risk of a scam. Once the price-per-cell drops
