I really wish there were cheaper Tx capable SDRs, as they look like a lot of fun! The cheapest ones I've seen at the moment seem to be around $200 hackrfs from aliexpress.

Yeah I agree it's a really cool hack! I wonder if they could have even used multiple chips to increase the resolution, assuming they could re-package the silicon to minimise gaps between them. One of the books I really love is "H

I love how it sounds like it's a re-purposed memory chip used for the camera. http://jalopnik.com/the-first-digital-camera-you-could-buy-w...

Neat :) I wrote some very slow code to set/get the Nth bit in an array of bytes. I was planning on using it for Chess bitboards - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitboard , but it could be used for say 8 booleans to

Don't homeopathic medicines claim they work via water memory though, which has been debunked. If you wanted to make use of the placebo effect from what I recall syringes have a more powerful effect than pills etc.

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/new... - I'm very curious why the NHS need access to your browsing history, along with everyone else.

Wouldn't the CHIP draw a lot more power? Edit: Just noticed someone above linked to https://getchip.com/pages/pocketchip guess it just needs more mAh batteries

Regarding the iPhone 5c, the attack from Sergei Skorobogatov is very interesting. "The bumpy road towards iPhone 5c NAND mirroring" - https://arxiv.org/abs/1609.04327 And the video: https://www.yo

Very cool :) I wonder if you could potentially use colour to increase the data rate a bit? (although then it wouldn't be a standard QR code I guess) http://www.jammarcade.net/backer-32/ -- I've got one of the

This may be an incredibly stupid question, but I know they used gravimeters to map the ocean floor on subs. And I recall an anecdote of snow fall on a roof effecting their results in a lab, could you possibly use them to detect other subs.

I'm curious how difficult moissanite is to manufacture compared to diamonds, as I was under the impression diamonds require high pressure and temperature to make.

Not Qt, but I'm using https://github.com/gtk-rs/ with Rust, which is pretty cool, I've developed the GUI using Glade, which I load via Rust. I'm also using CSS, to style the interface.

How about something like an Explosively pumped flux compression generator, I'm thinking there must be bits of EEPROM or equivalent in the phone that hold important info like the imei number, that if damaged, would render it unusable?
