First off, I'm not sure Greenwald could stop writing. He seems pretty addicted to it. Let's look at perhaps Greenwald's biggest article critical of a single individual in recent times, his roast (let's call it) of Sam Ha

The unfortunate question that keeps coming up in my head: does Glenn expect all the journalists of this new enterprise to be as good as him? If you look at his past articles, going back years before the Snowden leaks, he is clearly fluent i

Who isn't biased? Greenwald is adversarial to the point of flaming on Twitter, yes, but he's admitted that it's more of a stress relief activity. I do hope he'll tone it down when the venture starts (and he has already t

I know that HN mods replace the title of posts sometimes, but now they're replacing the entire _links_ with other blog posts? Didn't know this. The post I submitted was from PrivacySOS.org [1] which admittedly is more of a wrapper

According to Glenn [1], there is some new stuff in there. It could be that it's just a less-redacted set of slides, but he seems to imply that at least one slide is new. I've personally never seen pages 4, 7, and especially 8 but

I don't think anyone has ever claimed that "the war on drugs is based on racism" full stop. The word "racism" has become passe for many academics and writers. i.e.: "Just as the capitalist system is not a capit

Greenwald et al have learned to be sparse when it comes to sharing details. Risks are often involved -- for example, they might not have registered the domain name yet. Also it's obvious from the article that this is all in the brainst

We should really stop calling it "war on drugs". It's really the "war on the communities of black and brown people" and so is on par with the US legal apparatus since the country's founding

Skimming the article I see no mention of COINTELPRO, of which these programs are no doubt a continuation of at least spiritually. This would make sense given that this is the NY Times, and bringing up COINTELPRO would perhaps force them to
