CarPlay is alright on rentals, but I don’t care for it as a daily driver. Gimme a USB port I can plug a 32GB flash drive full of MP3s into. I don’t mind using a phone holder in the vent when I need to map, but I only map on <10% of trips

I went into it with that attitude, but my dad talked me into bringing the whole camera setup. I’m glad I did: I enjoyed experiencing the whole thing, and wouldn’t have given that up—but taking some killer photos was the cherry on top, and I

It’s probably table stakes for a search engine at this point. For me though, they all came too late, and I am mostly rewired to go to chatgpt first. (Yes, chatgpt can be wrong, but for things like recipes, song lyrics, etc it’s never wrong

Because it might go away? My Youtube saved lists are littered with removed videos. And I _do_ use a USB flash drive in my car of curated* music; it’s an always available radio station without and phone fiddling. *curated= just Grateful Dead

I’m happy refreshing for results. I really don’t want to “sign up” until I know I’m happy with the results.

I have that and do that, but it still dissuaded me from using this service. I may have a large tinfoil bat but I still have some standards.

If an insurance company can’t find data on you when they expect it, won’t they just charge you the high risk premium?

That’s an interesting question. The engineering ethics course I was required to take would unequivocally say yes, the engineers should be held accountable. If you, as an engineer, raise the concern, and management overrides you, then what?

I grew up near an Ohio Amish Country (Sugarcreek) which was south of where the glacier came in the last ice age, and can attest that it’s fairly hilly.

Bess blocked sites about evolution I tried to visit when I was preparing for a biology class debate. Luckily, the local ISP’s proxy was dead simple to configure in Netscape 4 and got around Bess.
