I think if there had been a rider in it, this wouldn’t have happened. But if it did, how would Waymo handle it? Have remote driver pilot the car to safety, potentially harming an unhinged aggressor?

Interesting. Our regular milk would turn sour after maybe 3-4 weeks. Maybe it was something else making it turn.

This came up on a thread the other day, and I think a good counterpoint is emergency evacuation orders for the elderly. My mom doesn’t use a computer, cell phone, tablet, etc, and a robocall to her land line would be the only way to notify

Sure, but so far so good. The only "spam" call I get is people trying to get ahold of the previous owner of the phone number, but I find that far less annoying than marketing robo calls.

I have a Twilio number that forwards to my real number, and the Twilio number is a contact in my address book. So anyone who gets the special Twilio number (eg, contractors, preschool, etc) can call from whatever number and never be blocked

The majority of my accounts are through a custom domain with a different username for each service. But that also means I don't have HIBP alerts set up for any of them.

1Password’s Watch Tower doesn’t show anything related to this breach, which might indicate it’s a super old password from pre-2011 that I’ve already deprecated

Yea, I thought about that too. I know there are some sketchy websites that provide paid access to leaks, but I was hoping for a course of action that is more legitimate.

Even though I use a different password for each service, I have no idea which service's password was compromised because my "main" gmail was included in this breach. Do I need to use https://haveibeenpwned.com&#x2F

When I quit my job, I paused my Privacy card that was paying for Kagi—but before the renewal date, I realized it was totally worth 2 coffees/month and unpaused. I use it all the time.

I don’t as many people follow Musk as closely as you think. Everyone in my circle is buying Tesla if they are buying EV. It’s the “obvious” choice because you see them everywhere; if you want an EV but don’t want to think too hard about it

I haven’t set an alarm for the workday in years; I naturally wake up around 6:30am. Even if I stay up late, I’m unable to sleep in. I think I’d rather need an alarm to wake up.

I see a lot of love for Obsidian, so I want to offer an alternative that I loved this year: Joplin. It has become my go-to note taking app, and the main feature in my opinion: I give it AWS keys for a bucket I provisioned just for Joplin. M
