As someone who loosely followed and played in the space, I got scared around when Binance set up their own non-eth chain and everyone just... was OK with it. I may recall wrong, but this stuff was "justified" because people didn&#

Personally, chatGPT-only posts fall under "low effort". If the post involves something more than a few paragraphs tailed by 'written by chatgpt' I would find that different, but so far most seem to be the former.

I broke this trend in my family. When I met my then-partner's parents in undergrad, they were of similar age to my grandparents. Didn't bother us, but I think they were surprised.

Didn't grubhub and ilk effectively insert themselves this way for food service to a lot of restaurants? Somewhat relatedly, I know my local tech hub has a couple places that do leadgen like this for financial verticals and it has been.

Not OP, and not about opex specifically, but around PoS and centralization... Before we had ~3 groups (miners, holders, users) that all kind of needed each other. Now there's no more miners. Given that crypto loves zero-trust and all t

Paul Graham wrote this[0] back in the day about tech stacks. I think this is still kind of true, but there's many more people across many stacks today that can work around some of the shortcomings. I guess it would still be important-i

I've had some different friends work with colleagues who literally do this. My friends typically left for various reasons, but it never seemed like the best way to "make you improve your code" to me.

There's an old project that does exactly that! Lenny has some long vids up on youtube. I suppose the next step is using some of the newer AI stuff to improve the interaction... https://lennytroll.com/

I've known professional athletes in skating that have had problems as well. Hip replacement in their 20s, joint pain, that sort of thing. Training for hours a day can definitely be problematic later in life, at least with that duration

I've never been at a company that was quite so liberal with their term sheet. Small or large, nobody wants to talk about it. My last place had a bunch of bickering in their allhands for a few months over total diluted outstanding and s

I like regular JS or python over more typed alternatives. Catching bugs in your IDE still means you made them, and there are other ways to catch and resolve them later in the chain. In the meanwhile, I find that strongly typed setups can de

If you use the APY programs on these sites, please do read the fine print. They're (generally, tl;dr, IANAL) allowed to loan your assets out to a 3rd party once you sign up and completely disclaim all risk and guarantee in doing so.
