I prefer something like Django to build more complex websites against for clients, or just pure PHP for blog style stuff for myself. WP level sites wouldn’t hire me as two days of my work is as expensive as years of WP hosting. But I admire

I drink it a lot, about twice per day with my wife. It’s a nice moment to share with friends and family. Less jittery than coffee.

It definitely makes me less jittery than coffee. I stopped drinking coffee, except for a cup in the morning and I have mate the rest of the day. It’s still a stimulant but in a more relaxing way

Oh Workplace. Where HR types were sending messages that would not lead to any notification via e-mail or phone while everybody useful was on Slack. No I didn't get your message. It looked fairly competent and unobtrusive the few times

There was a consistent approach by Russia of denying Ukraine any kind of former-Soviet supplies of ammo around that time and after. There were also incidents in Bulgaria for example. Blowing up an ammo supply in a NATO country is an act of

They should also give all designers the tiniest still supported mobile phone screen, while enlarging the fonts by at least 20% and making the screen black and white. I wouldn't go as far as making the language German but.....well actua

I would still like Git to have some kind of memory of a file being edited in some kind of branch. It would make it easier to communicate work done on the same file because you can discover what is being done to it.

I ran Windows 2000 from the last beta until they stopped supporting it. The only thing I ever loved more were my Commodore 64, my Amiga 500 and Blue/White G3 tower running Mac OS and Mac OS X. It was extremely consistent in terms of UX

I'm not delusional there are quite a few better programmers out there, but I know I'm in the upper ranks within my field worldwide. I hired plenty of people both as developers for me as for other companies I worked at. There were

Your vanilla PHP will still work in 10 years, with a few deprecation fixes. And since vanilla PHP is such a full-featured language and framework, you don't those third party dependencies.

I wasn't sure, I guess books are read from the same side in every culture? iOS UINavigationController and the SwiftUI equivalent support it by default and it takes effort (or a crappy hybrid implementation) to stop it from working.
