I don't remember any new feature I liked since Facebook took over. Perhaps some stuff in the group chats that I liked but that's it. So if there's some kind of momentum for another messaging app I'll jump ship early.

The only thing I really rely on nowadays is Search. Gmail would be a major hassle as a ton of stuff is linked to that, but I could use a new name somewhere else and give everybody that matters the new address instead. But search: too ingrai

Isn't the whole market shrinking in an even faster rate? Besides that: there's nothing spectacular to upgrade to for people that have bought a MacBook Pro in the last 5-6 years. I don't think that's entirely Apple's

I understand that after sending the packet it still has to deal with network speeds, but the idea is that there is no buffer just mirroring all of incoming video real-time.

Well so far it's a setup where the broadcaster is an iPhone and the listeners are iPhones as well. Strictly one-way. Using the default iOS and WebRTC libraries. The critical factor is that all listeners get the same data at the same ti

I agree but it's about using the right tool at the right time. How else would could they have started YouTube back then for example? Early YouTube definitely was a glimpse into the future.

The thing about Flash was that it was pretty WYSIWYG and a lot of creative people flocked to it because it had strong multimedia capabilities. Personally I kind of missed the part where you could build really nice looking stuff without much

Like Argentina (mobilizing it's own army against it's own people to enforce IMF reforms right now) is a showcase about why market driven capitalist governments with "trickle down economics" delusions are a failure?
