I've read that the Office division basically does everything separately form the Windows division because they want total control. Everything. Frameworks, tooling, you name it.

What's more impressive is that Mojave would be really familiar to those users from the year 2000. If I compare it to the mind-blowing UX changes Windows went through in the same time...and none of them were never really all compassing

> Dart is strongly typed and pre-compiled, at least when packaged. It can run in interpreted mode in development for live/hot reload: a major advantage over Swift. Ah, that's how they do it. That's neat! But the language s

I don't understand why Apple is the only one left that uses a strongly typed pre-compiled native programming language. It really isn't hard to use Swift compared to other programming languages. And it's a really nice to use,

Either you don't understand what arbitrary code is or you're just too angry with Apple to want to understand it. But apps either run static code or use the Safari JS engine to run code. That's all the flavors you have. Static

It was a bit weird to me as well. There's like 7.x% of gay people which would leave 0.4% for non-gay people that feel that they belong to some kind of minority. It makes gay people look like having a ton of issues at once and I can

Browsers are huge attack vectors as they allow you to run arbitrary code. I wouldn't say there isn't a case to not allow third parties to run a platform in your platform.

I just had my first encounter with React Native and it wasn't a good one. It's the typical JavaScript dependency hell where things blow up at run-time with cryptical errors and tons of people on SO / GitHub just saying "

80% of all software is glueing frameworks together to do CRUD. There's an art to do that right as well, especially very large systems with lots of legacy. Readability, SOLID, safety. It's not something everybody has a talent for.

We had fantastic access to the latest releases (Venlo) but still bought games from time to time. Games weren't that expensive to begin with and came with a nice box and manual. Lots of cracked C64 games were unplayable to me because I
