Flutter is a Google project so everything is always a bit better on the Android side. Lots of libraries that only exist for Android because most devs come from the Android side, lots of features and widgets that lag on iOS.

That would be the way to get the JS ecosystem out of the mud. But it would be great if there was a way to ensure nil and type safety on the level of Kotlin, Swift, Rust etcetera and build from there. TS is more like Java in that aspect.

TS has a bit of Java feel to me. Forces me to follow all kinds of hard compiler requirements that take some time to implement, like generics, but then there's still all of these edge cases like null-pointers that make it feel like you&

Yeah there's an SDK and a Kit, so the SDK just gives you the basic building blocks in terms of data and the Kit gives you some of the screens. But at least on iOS it all looks a bit outdated so I'm only using the data layer. BTW a

I need some downtime from people in order to recharge my social battery. I really enjoy being around people but I just can't do it 24/7. Having your whole family around all of the time is really stressing since my social battery i

It would be nice if you can move your existing C codebase piecemeal towards a more safe standard using linters and compiler checks. Because projects with a lot of legacy (mostly C) code (which means all popular operating systems) cannot be

You weren't naive. Objective-C is so much better suited to do GUI applications than Java. Plus you could dip into the performance of C where it mattered most. Also while Objective-C (when used idiomatically) was slower than Java, it wa

Contracting salaries are much more similar. Not the same, but in the same ballpark. The ability to fire people easily, less holidays and less perks leads to higher salaries in the US but contracting jobs pay relatively bad.
