Back in the late 80s in college a guy in my dorm made a combustion gun. We were watching him shooting spuds from the dorm lawn into the air not caring where it landed. Later that evening he was arrested because one spud gave the parent of a

I’ve heard about Soylent and wanted to know more but this article is void of any facts and feels like a rage blog by someone who already has a grudge against programmers. Bummer.

Not sure I follow. I bought a 600$ fanless pc. It runs Linux. I run apps on it. I bought a 600$ iPhone. It runs iOS. I run apps on it. I haven’t paid a cent more than the original cost for each product. From an economical viewpoint they are

Thanks for the tip on the short stories. When I read “The Conversions” I tried to tease out all the meta games, same with Tlooth. But I never found it rewarding. I’m more drawn to his prose, topics, and the air of aristocracy that comes fro

I don't think you understand how GPIO is used on a Raspbery Pi. You can flip GPIOs in a BASH script, or set events on them in Python. GPIOs are first-class citizens in Rpi land, which is what makes it so convenient: you get GPIOs + Lin
