Something that is needed here and probably many places is competition in Public Transport. I imagine a time where it will be cheaper to have your electric car drive you into work than to catch a train, then drives itself home and charges un

I understand your point now and reread that end section 3 of the article. The authors seem to imply that it is possibly resultant from a toolkit which a) doesn't implement the generation of provable primes correctly and therefor b) doesn't

They do mention that the lower depth results of the tree could be from bad entropy on a CSPRNG. Which is what I'm making my comment from. There may be a potential flaw in an implementation e.g CRT. My comment was in regards to crypto usage

The responsible version of software are armchair cryptographers or average programmers trying to get things to 'work'. I bet this all results simply using OpenSSL with a SAMPLE to seed a PRNG or a bad seed of 0's. To see if it could potenti

And the retort to the author would be the case of the PS3 and ECDSA. Using low entropy PRNGs at all is the _REAL_ problem.

The whole title is horrible because of its not even related to the outcome of the experiment/paper. Ron and Whit are neither both right nor both wrong, nothing in the article even came close to proving such a title. Using bad entropy is wro

No it certainly does not. This source linked paper in fact says the opposite. Taking time to read the paper results in a fun experiment without any cryptographic breaks. Low entropy randoms = bad keys, for all Asymmetric and Symmetric keys.

I'm currently downloading this now to make a fair comparison. I always saw VLC as I see VIM, it's an editor, it's great for editing, but it's not an IDE. My sudden though upon seeing this is something similar, VLC is a great media player, b

It can be frustrating when having a minimalist workspace. The frustrations occur from having no Finder windows open and accidentally CMD+Tabbing to it (quickly). Finder doesn't have to be the First item available in the Application switcher

I'm under the impression that you can only purchase 1 per person (or per transaction?). So group and bulk buys are out of the question. 10,000 units might last a bit longer than 1-2 hours, but only time will tell.

What exact issues have you had with Origin? Although it is almost completely featureless, I've never ran into any issues with it. It pretty much just keeps the game up to date and launches (in the case of BF3) your browser.

While I find there are some good features from this change, my overall feeling is that this abstracts too far away from tmux. I attempt to use the same development environment across POSIX systems and this doesn't seem to feel right to me.

Why is this easier than making ~/lib/java-latest softlinked to ~/lib/jdk1.6.0_30 then just re-linking to the one you want to use while having export JAVA_HOME=~/lib/java-latest in ~/*rc . At least this way it isn't ubuntu specific and you d
