Err, not exactly the same way. Sure if you have a rainbow table of all the possible values of the hash construct then it would take a negligible amount of time. Doing the math of all possible values in the Hash space you will quickly see th

If you're comparing plain text passwords then you've already done something wrong. You'll find the hash construct mitigates against attacks like these due to its nature, especially with a per user salt.

This does seem weird to me, as you said the java executable by default gets installed to /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java. Whereas the java executable within the jdk package gets installed to /Librar

For those who want to know, here is what is inside the .pkg files within the DMG. If you want to have a custom install directory in a non OSX specific directory structure then you can extract the packages and it should work appropriately. J

As am I, considering almost weekly I used to get my iTunes account reset from failed attempts (maybe an old app or suspicious activity?). More likely the writer erred and reused the password.

I don't see how my comment may be interpreted as starting an argument. I was simply replying on your comment on HTTPS just 'work'ing once you ignore the man in the middle attack. It's not privacy from an employer that is the underlying issu

So the proxy server acts as a forced man in the middle? This has to be one of the most atrocious things I have ever experienced. Forcing a man in the middle is insane especially in a large company where there may well be a lack in competenc

If you're complaining about the memory usage, lower the max heap size with the arguments: -Xms512m -Xmx512m. If it's CPU usage: turn off some of those addons. You can't say Java 7 is the root cause of the CPU usage and not Eclipse.

I wouldn't say altruism, more like an anarchist's expectation. It seems some people would've liked there to be no observation just to 'shake things up' and then have to move to a new model. Hawking does mention in the video that the greates

Note simply throwing hardware at it won't solve all performance cases. Some sites[1] are using RC4 for their symmetric encryption. AES is a popular scheme but it's not the only one used. [1]: https://www.google.com
