A lot of his buildings that were actually built were materialized sketches. Fallingwater was underbuilt, and Usonian homes are a bit awkward to live in because Wright glossed over important livability features.

Sounds like my 6th Gen X1, only I replaced the battery last fall. I also noticed the display glitches sometimes when I open it, and the USB-C ports have connection issues sometimes.

There are too many distros. Even the Gnome/KDE split has been unproductive. Desktop linux would have done better with more resources polishing a single product rather than making 20 half-baked products.

I've used windows for 30+ years, and I'm getting a Mac this year. I seriously considered Linux on a Thinkpad and even test-drove Debian on my older X1 Carbon. I tried, but too many things didn't quite work. I'd get stuck

Something I've mulled over in the past is what a market-driven pricing model for streams would look like. Newer songs are generally worth more than older songs, and lean-in listening costs more because the user actually wants to hear a

There just isn't much value in most old films. There are a handful of standouts per year, and anything in a major franchise, but the demand for everything else is low, so you might as well make it as easy to find as possible and get wh

Broader question, but whatever happened to every university with a CS department hosting mirrors of popular distros? I always assumed CDNs replaced them, but seeing this, maybe they didn't.

I back up important things on SLC USB-A flash drives and write refreshed copies at least annually. The drives are small (<=8GB), expensive, there are only a handful of manufacturers (mine's an ATP), and you're probably ordering
