Yeah, I like it a lot, but I've put tons of time into my scraper for Reader YC ( https://github.com/krruzic/Reader-YC ). I support everything but polls currently. This api is nice but my scraper actually supports mo

Up until seeing this HN thread I thought that leak was true and that iPhone6 had some mazing new screen glass tech. I was impressed by it. Still impressive I suppose, but now it definitely seems more like a "trick"

This sounds like a nightmare. Share invocation is built in to BlackBerry 10 and much simpler. Fairly certain none of the issues outlined here exist. At least Apple added it though.

Why doesn't this guy (or anyone else like him) get a non-smartphone. I have a BlackBerry10 device and rarely use apps. Partly because the platform was missing many big name apps, but mostly because I don't want or need such things

Since Dang has taken over as the main moderator and been more public about it, he's announced doing it more times than that.

I love assembly, and ARM is pretty neat! Nice work man.

This looks neat and all, but what's with the cartoon voice for the demo video? Kind of ruins the mood if you ask me.

BBM, IRC and rarely Google Talk. I love BBM, it has a bunch of bugs (especially on non-BlackBerry devices) but it's fun and addictive.

Looking for a summer internship as well. Currently studying at the University of Calgary, just finished my second year. I've been programming a bit longer than that however, and I do most things in Python, Java or Qt. I know a bit of C

The phones in the middle of the table works well, but isn't that something you do to children to get them to behave? If you're so attached to your phone that you can't just choose not to use it, this idea is pointless.

This is my biggest problem with GNOME shell, and programs that are packaged with it. The dependencies are very strange and just annoying. I don't need a lot of the utilities, but apparently GNOME knows better.

They said they'd be back by today, so I'm assuming 5pm or so. I haven't heard back either yet.

You know I really don't understand all the comments here cheering for a company to go under... they made mistakes and their products were behind the market for quite awhile. but now they have BB10 and it's brilliant and keeps impr

This guy is completely wrong. Developing for BB10 is so easy. He's right in the sense that it's hard to find people with similar issues, but how is that BlackBerry's fault? Ignore his complaints and continue your plan to deve

No clue if it's even available yet, but asha has a hardware keyboard and is fairly cheap. The Q10 is great though and personally I'd recommend it if you mainly use your phone for typing.

I've never used an IDE for Python development, I find a text editor is good enough. As Jugurtha said, Sublime Text on Linux is great, I use it daily. Good luck with the new job!

Hey, glad you like it! With the comment thing, a few people have told me similar. I've thought of adding a tutorial or changing how you access them, but I'm not sure. A tutorial would probably be simplest but I'm not certain

Interested in checking out the Qt client and getting it running on BB10 (not sure if it's been done yet). Don't have much free time as of late sadly. I'll be sure to check out the repo tonight though.

What about BBM? Kik completely copied BBM (the founder was an ex employee). BBM is a lot better in many ways, including real groups. Strange seeing BBM not try and capitalise on this purchase of Whtasapp by Facebook.

This is old so what you're suggesting wouldn't be possible unless he updated it (which I don't think he has any reason to do).
