I use blue sky exclusively over Twitter and in my experience the condolences about kirks death out numbered the vile posts at least 10 to 1. In general the worst I saw were posts lamenting his death by violence while also noting his bigotr

I hear where you're coming from but an independent Fed has worked pretty well since it was started. Mistakes have been made, of course, but afaik they were based on bad economics, not politics. Making the Fed more political, especiall

The answer is probably yes. There are so many documents and so many rules that it's probably hard to be perfect. The difference is how people respond when notified; do they try to keep them or do they cooperate and give them back?

You have somewhat of a point except...the Democrats forced Biden to sit out. That's one of the major differences between R and D right now: D's largely force out the problems (Biden, Cuomo), the R's line up behind the p*** g

I debated with myself on whether to use "naive" but it seems the most appropriate description. I barely know Woz outside of a 3-hour lecture but it appears that Jobs took advantage of his naivete, lying to him on multiple occasio

Woz gave a lecture in one of my classes years ago and I came away impressed. He was obviously a brilliant engineer. "Naivete" is generally used in a negative manner but he had just enough naivete to get through life happy. He t

Do you have any evidence it was shut down by the Fed? I looked briefly at the BPP numbers and they aren't that far off the CPI. There were even a few times it was lower than the CPI. There was a 2 year period that BPP was noticeably

I briefly scanned the BPP data and it was pretty close to the official CPI. The BPP is usually a bit higher, and for a short time noticeably higher, but they generally converge. https://thebillionpricesproject.com/datasets&

Tariffs raise the price in tangential ways. Tariffs on Chinese steel means US chicken wire producers switch to more expensive US sources. Increased demand for US sources make it even more expensive. Farmers buy the more expensive chicken

Good response. I might suggest not using housing because so many people treat it like an investment, which means its value goes up faster than inflation (if it's a good investment). But otherwise I totally agree with you.

I am surprised at how low Nolan Ryan is, given how good he was and how long he played (27 years!). I guess he wasn't as good as I thought.

There is no multiverse where Trump would knowingly allow someone to mock or criticize him. If Musk grovels enough Trump may let him back; he loves emasculating his rivals.

If you don't think panics are a bad thing I don't know what to tell you. Can you point to a panic that was good? My point about Bryan is that the gold standard was causing so much pain that he rode his solution to the nomination.
