I built, use, and maintain https://github.com/danielwestendorf/breezy-pdf-lite which uses Chrome to convert html to PDF’s as a web service. Maybe someone here will find it useful!

I've heard shopify has been shaking down SaaS apps for past revenue % which they charge outside of the shopify ecosystem. Does anyone know if this is true or have more details?

What struck me most about this essay is the privilege required to make it all possible. From educational institution to educational institution changing focus and whimsically studying other fields without much care for how to make a living

I wonder if there is a correlation between commenters here who are critical of the article and also consider themselves talented?

I was ghosted by a recruiter at Stripe. As in, they didn't show up to a call they scheduled with me. I emailed patio11 about it. He brought their head of recruiting into the conversation to remedy the situation. Their head of recruitme

I wonder how many, if any, great software engineers simply let their careers stall out because they don't want to deal with the ceremony around tech hiring.

You're optimizing for the wrong thing there. Given 10 positions you need to fill anticipating these hires will stick around for 3-5 years each. Pick one: - [ ] 10 "less experienced" developers for 3-5 years - [ ] 9 "very

I just went through a job search and this is what I landed on. Every CRUD webapp startup thinks they need FAANG-like hiring processes and fucking suck at it. I ended up taking a job that was mostly a no-interview process. Two calls to talk

When was the last time an Apple product launch wasn't leaked? I feel like we've known what was coming ever since the infamous lost iPhone prototype (iPhone 6 maybe?). It has been a while.
