Agreed, I use them as a general host and test area, although I'm hoping to try out some other "PaaS" inc. Heroku soon. Still, a good place for anyone who just wants something simple.

Congrats to the team, I've used the product and it was extremely simple to get up and running, and a huge upgrade over the terrible search I was using at the time, and for free (even if I did have to heavily cache things around the earlier

I'm not sure if it addresses your exact problem (since I haven't used it) but see if rosterplus.com.au is any help.

Can't stand the new update not letting me middle click videos to open in new tabs. Also a way to block accounts would be great so I don't see "John1" "JohnsGames" "JohnsIphoneVideos" "JohnsTuesdayRants" covering the Browse page.

Agree with Random_Person, I just kept reading, quite engaging and interesting. Although in "Like a Phoenix with clipped wings" I was confused by this: It should come as no great surprise that I choose to take Polite Blonde and Pregnan

Definitely sucks to have to shut something down. Best of luck in the future, and I'm sure having to do this will help then too.

Also adds weight to the "Just Ship" mantra. Imagine releasing it 2 years ago, and using the time since then to promote it, update it, polish it (if XBLA allows that sort of thing).

I'd also love to be able to blacklist accounts. I don't really need to see four different accounts from one person, especially if I _really_ don't want to see their videos.

Maybe we'll have to figure out a standard tag to use for review?

There doesn't seem to be any advantage really to having it on separate domains. Is there any reason you'd think it's easier to focus on paid users if it's on a separate domain? There's other options, a private support forum (or forum sectio

Seems to happen to a lot of products that are 'simple'. It happened to Dropbox ("Why would I use this when I can do these other twelve steps to do nowhere near the same thing") and the Ipod ("Why would I need this when I have a CD Burner an

I'd say HN is primarily read by people who already understand that it takes a while to learn these things, so it basically IS a weekend project. If a non-technical person came along and saw it they may need clarification that no, you probab

Really pretty cool. I'd assume this is just an MVP but it has potential, with some obvious things: - Private results - Better formatting - Branding - Demo would help Probably more, but for a first version it looks great

It was my knowledge that it was difficult to go lower on prices in any way without losing money? The larger planes could take advantage of economies of scale, the only way to get lower fares would be to drastically reduce the cost of flying

On a tangent from point 4 - I've learned that it's ok to share my ideas, as the likelihood of them being stolen is still pretty low. I know I've read thousands of ideas over time and implemented exactly zero of them. I'm assuming most other

iinet (at least) also gives free quota to 3FL gaming servers, as well as a large portion of Steam downloads. Which I've definitely never had a problem with it (still being able to play games when capped = :D)

256kbps isn't as terrible as it may seem. My internet used to be cut to 56k when it went over, and 95% of websites wouldn't even finish loading. Now I think it cuts back to 512kbps, so things at least load, just no downloading really.

Isn't this the password reset form on EA.com? I encountered it the other day as well. Also, I wondered why EA doesn't use a form of openid via the user account. It has so many games, they all require EA logins, but as we've seen, different

Ok.. you know what I mean :P It's more the fact that US notes tear extremely easily whereas polymer notes... you have to be pretty determined to damage one without scissors.

Odd video, but since we're on the topic... After a trip to the US last year it was easy to see the US currency is awful. Coming from Aus where we have polymer banknotes, the paper was just terrible, and I wondered why they hadn't changed it

I'd like this, at least to try it out. I haven't had a problem with ads on sites if they blend in well, aren't obnoxiously ugly or jarring. My plan was to go with something like buysellads and just be picky with what I'd allow on the site.
