I feel like the 'book is having trouble adding new users. This is probably another stab at inflating their numbers for their Q earnings reports. There are a limited number of users out there. Emerging markets aren't growing fast e

Nah, WhatsApp clearly was growing at an astronomical rate. They would have been neck and neck with FB in the near future. WhatsApp is I mean was a serious threat.

It took FB 10 years to get to where it is today. Is that a process that WhatsApp wants to go through? I mean the finality usually ends in either an acquisition or an IPO; having shareholders on your mind constantly seems pretty stressful.

The numbers are staggering: 450 million users in less than three years. That's a real company. That's more users than most startups will ever see in a lifetime of use let alone daily usage.

This is where I'm at. What's the point of WebGL from Apple's perspective? If a developer wants to create a game, I'll just use OpenGL or CoreGraphics to do it.

Voice seems to be the best and safest user interaction for vehicles. If the voice software knew the car was in motion or at a difficult intersection perhaps it could change it's tone and sense of urgency. It does make me think if there

We're talking about people with a preference for bicycles not their religion, race or gender. And, yeah, you could replace it with driver, that one at least is valid. I don't know if you've heard of this rift between cyclists

Cyclist breaks the law and then feels entitled to talk down the arresting officers? I can't say it's the first time I've heard this story.

I agree, but like some other commenter said about hackers needing a reality check; only the most disconnected of people would attempt to "educate" a police officer about the law. Why would he do that? I'm not justifying the o

I'm empathetic towards how shitty the process he went through, that sucks. But there's no need to make a bad situation worse which is what he "stupidly" did; so says him.

My point is, why contest anything in that moment? You just broke the law and could've potentially caused serious bodily harm to someone. I feel like there's a small window an officer gives you to get out of the ticket. They walk

The whole idea that bicyclists somehow are above the law in terms of traffic signals needs to end. We need to start stopping at red lights and stop signs if we're ever to be taken seriously. Time and again I've had conversations

The highest class in this country creates this reality. There is no police state if there is not economy to protect. There is not economy to protect if there's not huge multinational corporations. Legal violence is a tool used indirect

Google had a click fraud issue before and they fixed it. Facebook will throw every appropriate resource on this problem and it'll be fixed. I am absolutely positive this is just noise.

Here we go again. It's a new quarter. Now that earnings decimated the young-people-dont-use-facebook myth, now we have the click-fraud-is-a huge-systemic-problem myth. Haters be hatin.

Completely agree which makes it such an awesome IPO. I'm really blown away by the popularity of their cameras. They seem like a really creative bunch so it'll be cool to see what's next.

I think what we'll see in the future is the correcting of a few of these IPOs; none of these companies will go bankrupt though and bust completely. As mobile usage starts to thin out across all platforms(fb, goos, apple, etc.), overal
