You are right. However, that doesn't stop others from calling them activists. If you are on the so called "far right," then merely living out your values seem like activism to those who are opposed to you.

While it might be hard to grow roots, it is not impossible. IMO, you should start doing serious work on growing roots when you are in your late 20s. Growing roots include: - Getting married - Having kids - Settling down to live in one place
