Assuming the flaw hasn't been discovered because no one logically puts a protective cover over that button. What if you did place the same protective cover over that button and try? Could it be hijacked in that manner?

This is great. Fortunately, at my work, if I just drive past the main entrance, and enter the parking lot nearest our entry door, I can start my journey through the lot at the closest point. This obviously eliminates the need for guessi

The fact remains that when not following 'best practices' - you leave yourself (and those that you horde data on) at risk. I think that the upsetting part is that most don't volunteer their data to these guys. They simply

I think something like the following makes a bit more sense: "If you have information that you want as many people as possible to know, it's a disservice to yourself to put it behind a paywall" Of course, I don't think t

This reminds me of the wording in my son's homework two days ago. So much interpretation involved. I wish they would choose the wording of their questions more closely in those math homeworks (and also in articles). For reference, hi

A conventional chain could be caked in mud, but it literally cleans itself - the contact points anyway. Also, if well-lubricated they're pretty good at keeping water and such out of the internals as well - or at least easy enough to c

I think one of the biggest problems is as the rear cassette shifts toward a larger gear, flex could become an issue. The driveshaft will push out on those larger gears making the 'disc' flex toward the wheel. Those larger gears

I agree with this -- whether the portal be HN or something else. I'd gladly pay a subscription to a portal and ingest the content as I see fit. I'd be against paying $.10 per article read (or clicked) because most articles, I nev

I found this disassembly very interesting. Thanks for posting. I've taken a lot of stuff apart in my days, but never an expensive camera lens. I've owned, just off the top of my head, a 70-200 f/2.8, 50 f/1.8, 85 f&#

I agree. Those older devices are still subscribing to some of your services, making them very valuable. I admit, however, that I get a new iphone each time one is released, and I've gotten the newest watch at its release also. My mac

I've noticed a lot of articles linking to medium.com lately. Is there a special way that you are all reading these (through the paywall) or do you all have subscriptions?

My only experience with paypal was about 8 years ago. I briefly remember signing up for it roughly 2-3 years prior to that. I linked my paypal to my (older) bank account so I could purchase something. This account had about $100 in it - it

If the purchasing base (or potential buyers) believe the reviews to be mostly fake, they may lose trust in the service... This seems like a problem worth fixing, from Amazon's perspective.

If every site responded, upon request, with their patch level, a database could easily be created. Or a scan becomes that much easier to perform on 100,000 endpoints - and then your targeted attacks can begin on only vulnerable systems. &#
