pixel-scroll-precion-mode is a game changer for those who scroll with a track pad a lot. I just wish it would render at full display refresh rate.

It's super annoying, I switched from Go to Rust for my personal projects because of it. It's like a seat belt beep that won't stop.

I liked autumn so much I copied it in IntelliJ and VS Code.

JVM heap size is not Fleet's fault. You should be able to manually set it like Intellij.

My favorite thing about learning Rust is how helpful the community is.

Better yet, the trial should only count down when the app is being used. It will be long expired before the features we are waiting for before purchasing get implemented.

This would be an instant buy if it matched some Goland features/plugins: -Ideavim (.vimrc support, custom mappings to editor actions) -AceJump/EasyMotion -Color scheme customization

d12frosted/emacs-plus/emacs-plus@29 on Homebrew is my fav way to install master on a Mac. Trackpad scrolling is smooth even at 120hz.

Yes you should! `brew install d12frosted/emacs-plus/emacs-plus@29 --with-native-comp --with-no-frame-refocus` is easy as pie and gets you the latest build with native comp and smooth trackpad scrolling.

Smooth scrolling with the Mac trackpad (especially at 120hz+) is something I've wanted for a long time, feels really good. Too bad about all the usage tracking...

There's a good Diablo 1 "making of" video, the lead developer talks about learning C while coding the game in assembly. I'll try to find it.

It's already bad. The issue isn't when you sleep up relative to the sun, but relative to your responsibilities. Some kids have to wake up before 6am not to keep up, which severely limits their options in the evenings and their phy

Does anyone know how to disable the bright red color when you first start typing a word? I find it very distracting (specially on over-saturated wide gamut displays) and went back to zsh because of it.

Kids shouldn't be forced to start that early anyway. It's borderline child abuse imo. Maybe permanent DST will lead to school schedules that benefit children not adults.

I'm also using a 144hz monitor (Samsung 28" G70A) with a DP-USB-C cable. Wakes up normally and VRR works both with my new MBP (M1 Pro) and with the previous MBA (M1).

I'm convinced that just like we'd stretch and warm up before exercise, we need to warm up our skepticism before consuming information. You can start by reminding your self that what you're about to read was shown to you so so

I can vouch. Everyone was ambivalent about a war then I woke up one day in Sarajevo and the building across the street was on fire, and the city was surrounded. The next few months until I got out were nuts.

Maybe - I'm mainly making the point for future situations where it may make sense to stay if you don't adopt a binary trust mentality (which upper management probably does not have).

If that got out, said manager may be marked by the bosses for opening Pandora's box. When people have dependents and mortgages on the line, "good" has very little to do with it. Sad but true.
