It's not just the switch mechanism. The keys are too big and the gap between them is too narrow. I used to intuitively feel where my fingers were and pressing a key off center was much less likely to cause a typo.

We're talking about people like me who build their own desktops and wouldn't buy an Apple desktop otherwise. They could even make it a subscription.

No kidding. I would pay their entire iMac hardware margin for an OSX desktop license.

My parents did it twice in their 40s. I had to help them learn the language and assimilate but it's doable. That said, moving to the US was much easier than to another European country.

You can buy a used GPU for well under $100. Now you can drive multiple 4k screens for that HiDPI terminal goodness and stop choking your CPU's memory bandwidth :) Still a better deal than Intel and a superior desktop experience.

This. In the meantime, I'll settle for a real session save/resume in MacOS. I have to reboot often and "restoring" is a mess.

"The men who took longer rest periods experienced a 152% increase in MPS in the early part of recovery compared to the men who took short-rest intervals who only saw a 76% increase. That’s a two-fold difference." https:/

Their blog post says not to rest for more than 90 seconds between sets. I can see why the app would work better with tight groupings but 90s is not enough max gains and recovery, especially for beginners.

Higher fuel taxes would aid congestion without additional toll infrastructure and reduce the money sent to dictatorships at the same time. That revenue could be used to fix/expand public transport. Right now urban residents subsidize s

This is what I've been telling my friends and family after I gave up trying to improve their network setup. At some point you have to take a stand and stop trying to have it both ways.
