I had a 2023 ASUS Zephyrus G14 (AMD 6800 + 6900HD dGPU) and I took a battery hit, but not near what you saw. Somewhere closer to 20-25%. It’s bigger problem was it was far too eager to trigger the dGPU, especially with accelerated graphics

The problem is internal to the CPU packaging, there isn’t a way to fix it externally. Later 65nm (both GPU/CPU) it’s almost a non-issue, but any others will almost definitely red ring at some point, all you can do is delay the inevitab

To be clear, the problem with the Skylake implementation was that triggering AVX-512 would downclock the entirety of the CPU. It didn’t do anything smart, it was fairly binary. This AMD implementation instead seems to be better optimized an

Sure, but it took much longer for it to roll out in LA than it should have, and even then (as you pointed out) the furthest they could get was the pole in most cases. FTH is mostly reserved to the more suburban areas (the Valleys) and the i

In the US, it’s not about money or demand. The more entrenched cities (especially in California, for some historic reasons/legislation) tend to have a much more difficult time getting fiber installed. It all comes down to bureaucracy a

That's fine when it's self-motivated, but it sets a terrible precedent for expectations. Doing things like this can put in management's mind unrealistic expectations for you to always work at that pace. Which can be unhealthy

When I worked support, they didn't even have a priority system (it was C2B, so there weren't necessarily enterprise customers. That did come later, with LiveChat and all it's joys). Instead, we had a 24hr expected turnaround

I think it's funny that 90% of the arguments I hear people having day-to-day, especially in the political realm but also in general, are literally just semantic arguments. Things like "yeah, I'm fine with someone being tran

You pretty much always have to waste the starting spell. Your first 5HP worth of attacks is rarely going to give you enough information to deduce a path, so you'll need that sound 6HP to try to find another scroll.

It's more difficult if you try to tackle the monsters head on. If you instead focus on finding clear spaces to unlock the scrolls, and maximize your HP usage (kill 5hp worth when you have 5hp, immediately level up at zero, repeat) it&#

Desktop Dungeons isn't this game at all. While a similar style of resource management, and a great game in it's own right, it's lacking the "minesweeper-y" exploration tactics.
