There are a few excellent episodes on the topic over at Manager Tools. (I'd be happy to train your team if you don't want to go through their archive.)

Maybe you got luckier in your career than I have been or you've only ever worked for very large businesses. Once you've learned the types of questions that tend to work better you immediately notice when whoever is interviewing yo

The biggest issue isn't one mentioned in the article. No amount of hiring tricks and hacks will work around the fact that hardly anyone (including most managers and HR pros) gets trained on how to review a resume, conduct an interview,

I'd be curious to see the math, at least for the West coast and more generally to US coastal areas. Insofar as I'm aware, sending cargo by sea is very cheap compared to sending it using airplanes and long distance trucks.

On the contrary. It is so important that it cannot be secondary to something that can be defined clearly. Hence my comment. Edit for clarity: What you think is fine or not today may or may not be considered fine in the future. So there'

Frankly, I don't know what a specific legal criteria might even look like. In fact, I'm not even sure I'd like someone smarter than me with legal street credentials to come up with one. What I do know is that SCOTUS famously

Personally I'm in agreement with Popper's view that societies should tolerate everything except intolerance. It draws a fine line between what's acceptable speech and what is not. And going by it, things like 8chan should get

Insofar as I can recollect, sort of, at least if you infer what happens when the space between words or lines is too large. The gist of the issue for a dyslexic reader, as I understood it anyway, is a focus problem. Picture an ellipse of so

What surprises me with respect to dyslexia is how poor accessibility options are in modern operating systems. If I understood the research correctly, dyslexia researchers get material improvements in reading speed when they increase the amo

+1 but several of your points are incorrect or need caveats. Your 1st point isn't correct, in that you will learn interesting things from 1m users that you won't from 15. The thing is that the 15 will tell you why, whereas the 1

Intriguing. I always trap before setting up, on the basis that a script could get interrupted before setup is completed. Is there any general agreement on what the correct order should be?

Might be, I've no idea. Anecdotally I use Safari - faster, I prefer the UI, and I don't trust Chrome. The only reason I've Chrome around is for the growing number of sites that only work with Chrome. Apps made by Google, in p

How much traction is this getting in job-tech startups? For instance, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc., as well as applicant tracking systems, and so forth.

I use bluetooth Bose headphones day in day out day out, but in all honesty my next bluetooth headphones will be in-ear and non noise cancelling - e.g. AirPods. In-ear headphones are orders of magnitude lighter than on-ear or over-ear ones.
