It’s just one person’s opinion, but I think two things are true enough, here… 1) JSON is pretty darn good for storing configuration. Everything speaks it, and a pretty printed one is very readable/tweakable in a pinch. 2) If you insis

I’d be interested in a real accounting of what he said, rather than what people say they’ve heard. If he says AI is changing work in some places but not-at-all in most… that’s defensible. Or at least we can look at that. Did he say it about

> I reject the idea that Firefox can transgress as much as they want as long as Chrome has gotten worse. Well, then the good news is nobody is saying that. There’s room for people to disagree on what constitutes a serious “transgression”

I have a (now discontinued) 64gb mini pro and I’ve found the same qwen model to be almost unusable unless I kill Thinking on each turn. What are you using them with/for?

Agreed… but really only for macs. That’s where it’s beautiful. I even use their larger external trackpad with the mini. But on work supplied machines and such I use a conventional mouse. It’s not even because everyone else's trackpads

Now I’m going to get a little nostalgic about Vimeo. I feel like they really tried to be a better, more civilized video platform.

It was part of her fame, for decades, as she intended. She was not shy or ashamed about it. Nowadays we may be extremely sensitive about that sort of thing (increasingly on behalf of others, unsolicited), but at the time it was not mean spi

This doesn’t seem right. 1 in 6.2 billion for Firefox on an iphone, not including ip/network uniqueness? Seems more plausible that anti-fingerprinting is throwing it off?

Maybe I saw too many Disney movies as a kid, but it took me a very long time to consider, “There’s nothing inherently good or right about what would have happened in the absence of people.” There’s nothing kind, nurturing, decent, or fair a

I don’t think any of these people know. All I’ve read, as far as sources go, is a number of rare book sellers saying they’ve had a big uptick in huge orders with no price haggling. Apparently that’s peculiar. And some of them seemed a littl

We often didn’t just get sent home with a copy of Romeo and Juliet and then get asked to write an essay. We went through it, a bit at a time, in class. With a very good teacher. Not just helping with word and phrases, but digging in a littl
