It can. We just need to remove institutional investors. Limit it to small investors.

What?! Dodd-Frank had nothing to do with it. The housing price crash allowed institutional buyers to make a new asset class out of SFR. They bought hundreds of thousands of houses. They aggressively increase rents because they’re levered an

What’s a new type of self-regulating market that doesn’t involve new laws? We have more selection at our finger tips than any time in history. I guarantee if I wanted those books, I could find them without leaving my desk.

This situation quite literally is not using the government. So y’all are complaining about the non-government system working in the way you’d expect it to? There are surely going to be more voices advocating for removing racist stuff than t

This outrage over a private company having the freedom to choose what it sells feels contrived.

Selling the past is the only way it gets remembered? A store should not have the freedom to determine what it sells?

Disagree. The gatekeepers exist for a reason. You can make a pink sheet stock. There was a time when anyone could issue their own stock or currency. It was not better. It's why securities laws were made. There is not a lack of lenders

Except the internet made things easier. Trading stocks isn’t expensive or error prone. We’ll see. Is the premise that every mom and pop will list shares in their company somewhere? The problem with that isn’t technological. It’s regulatory.

What’s this called? It’s not underwritten per the first page. I’m not current on the nomenclature, apparently. I’m calling it a NoPO for no public offering.

Except Amazon had opportunity to move beyond books. Coinbase should be valued nearly as much as Wells Fargo because maybe it will become Wells Fargo?!? Coinbase is tied to crypto inflation. That bubble can keep going but it’s a fraction of

Agree. What’s the upside? How can Coinbase be valued at nearly that of large banks that process orders of magnitude more transactions and can actually earn money on balances? NYSE and NASDAQ are surely not valued at anywhere close to $100b.

An aside, I still receive Inc. magazine despite not renewing my subscription 7 years ago... Is that to inflate the reach? I’m not arguing it’s illegal or anything. It makes me wonder how widespread misleading audience numbers are in ad-base
