I highly suggest buying the print version of Feltron's report, as it is inspirational, fascinating, and beautiful.

To be fair, there are two other things at play here. * 1. No app had ever displayed books on a bookshelf in this way until Delicious Monster did. * 2. The designer who designed the bookshelf UI at Delicious Monster was poached by Apple to w

Wil Shipley responded to this very eloquently: "As a creator, part of what I seek is recognition, immortality. I don’t work for Apple or Google (I’ve been offered jobs & buyouts) because I want the fame myself. It’s my shot at immortali

That really sucks. But this isn't on my real blog, it's on my Posterous. I separate them on purpose. Also, this being on Hacker News really irritates me. I don't think it should be here.

Wow, I think you win. This is by far the worst comment I have ever seen on Hacker News.

Wow, this is exactly how not to design. Separating layout and content is a mistake. Content should be inextricably linked to how it is presented. This is what design means; it means taking content and displaying it in an understandable an

The internet is such a pile of crap. Why all these things can't work perfectly in every browser is just beyond belief. The W3C is worse than the UN. As a remember: All of these work great in Webkit. Some of these things don't work right in

Yeah, while this seems to have some weird geeky appeal, it's still way harder than just pulling out a dollar and handing it to someone.

Interesting thoughts, but you shouldn't editorialize titles. The title of the article in this case, given by the author, is actually more accurate than the one you chose.

Did you really have to be that angry and extremist in your comment? Seriously, that was painful to read. I've used Yelp in NYC countless times. It's not that bad; you just have to filter through the reviews. It's like any social site.

Most nasty comments seem to go unpunished. If someone says something clearly nasty that doesn't add to the conversation, why don't you personally kill it? Lots of communities have tried to push moderation into the hands of users via flaggin
