There was a discussion thread on here recently about Google's Hash Table implementation. I wonder how the approaches and design considerations compare to each other.

> Why wouldn't people sell? Tether could be intervening in the markets and propping it up with reserves, similar to how banks prop up a stock for a while after IPO. Or it could be that Tether market is still irrational. Everyone in

Investment banking interns have turned up dead from exhaustion. So some of them probably do work a lot. I can see it more so than engineering because deals are so time sensitive, you really can't slack off if there's a deal on. Bu

I found DNS ad-blocking solutions to be pretty lackluster and lots of ads were still getting through. With uBlock Origin only sites ahead of the curve were getting their ads through (porn sites, facebook, etc.). Couple this with Bypass Payw

Given the increasing importance of smart phones in our lives it seems like we would benefit by having a modern day equivalent of the Carterfone decision[1] for smartphones. [1] - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carterfone

Seconded. It's not obvious from TFA if they are treating whatsapp or instagram as distinct or included. Color me skeptical. Maybe someone with access can chime in more on their methodology.

Exorbitant cost of health care in America is the problem, not GFM's fees. Lowering the fees would be treating the symptom, not the problem.

The median annual earnings of palo altans is about $400k/year. That's probably workable for cheaper areas like south palo alto where a house built in the 80s will run you $2.5 mil. Move closer to downtown and you could easily doub

True. For the offer I saw it was about 169k base salary, 10k signing, and then 46k of equity. We're heading into the end of a market cycle imo so I figured that the equity value should probably be discounted by some factor.
