Is that necessarily a bad thing? If it means every site has clean, consistent UI/UX at the expense of originality, that’s not the worst trade off.

A strategy shouldn’t dictate WHAT needs to be done, it should layout where the company needs to get to and achieve. So in this micro services example, it’d be more appropriate to have something like “increase team independence and throughpu

I’m building a simple, opinionated tool to create and manage roadmaps the right way (IE not features on a Gantt chart). Think of the opinions that the basecamp guys bake into their products, but targeted at roadmapping. Going to use it wit

Sounds like you’ve worked with a lot of sub par product managers then. A good PM is extremely good at identifying the actual problems you need to solve, the ones that can make a true impact on the business strategy you’re executing. Bad PMs

It's not about what they want typically, it's what they need. Most customers/users aren't incentivized to solve upstream problems for themselves, instead they just need to use the tools they're given to do their job

I have a large team of product people, and work with a growing team of sales people. Something I’ve been doing recently that’s really important for this is highlighting to everyone customer facing the difference between client and customer.

I wonder if he realizes how terrible Twitter is for long form writing and publishing like this when he does it. It’s always baffled me why they haven’t removed the character limit entirely and instantly become the largest networked publishi

I’m a part of a very quickly growing startup, and I’ve realized the power of narrative/storytelling big time in the last few months. It just doesn’t scale to tell everyone what to do, you have to get them all bought in on the Why via a

Can you recommend an objectively more fair alternative? It costs money to run things, and it’s fair for any vendor to charge what they will for a vig, participation in the marketplace should keep them “fair” in the sense that an unfair mark

This is nearly April fools joke level. Ignoring the individual aesthetic, it just stands in such stark contrast to the rest of the curved, sleek vehicles in their fleet. Surprising.

I’m actually currently getting a POC built out for a note taking web app that’s entirely focused on capturing/tagging/filtering, because of these exact reasons. The idea of folders in all note taking apps is just not efficient, an

I’m working on a proof of concept for a very different style of digital note taking. Think stream of consciousness capturing, with some lightweight tagging mechanisms, and a global search mechanism to slice up the notes however you want. No
