Maybe you're thinking about sanitized Markdown, but proper Markdown allows HTML: For any markup that is not covered by Markdown’s syntax, you simply use HTML itself. There’s no need to preface it or delimit it to indicate that you’re

Great comment, just wanted to point out that musicians also get (tiny) royalty from their music on YouTube (when it’s uploaded officially or marked with the algorithm).

This post is about base system, which doesn’t include postgres. Obviously, if you don’t have Perl in the base, Postgres package could just include Perl as a dependency.

It's only native in the sense that it doesn't run in X11. The UI is still GTK+, and doesn't look like a Mac app.

Unfortunately, this native version is quite laggy compared to the previous XQuartz releases. I wonder how it compares with a Linux version in a VM; my previous experience suggests it may work better.

It's also reversible: newid = AES-EncryptBlock(0||id) 0||id = AES-DecryptBlock(newid) Check for 8 zero bytes for authentication. Bonus: can use a constant instead of zeros for domain separation (eg different DB columns or tables).

How would you bypass Gatekeeper with that? Something needs to run it. If you can, why can't you just do the same with osascript instead of running zoomAuthenticator? /usr/bin/osascript -e 'do shell script "

It's a good idea if you encrypt with the same key _once_ — you can avoid attaching nonces to your ciphertext (less code and data), and have only 16-byte key in the URL. In fact, using a random IV with AES-GCM is not exactly safe: 12-by

never reuse an IV with the same key Exactly, the key is always different.

No, it doesn't need to be random if the key is used only once. PS The author didn't just copy something from a tutorial without knowing what he was doing, he actually asked for advice https://github.com/excalidraw&

It is not wrong. In AES-GCM, the "iv" is a nonce — any value (random, counter, cat picture) that is different for different encryptions with the same key. If you use the key only for one encryption, as it is used here, it can be s
