My previous employer did this, but it was fraught with problems. It can be done properly, but you need your entire development team to have a good understanding of declarative programming, and you need to have as much business logic embedde

Is it really effective across all media? Canadian radio is awful IMHO because of CanCon rules: there aren’t enough Canadian artists within a specific radio genre to saturate a station’s quota, so in many cases we end up hearing the same art

To be clear: Chrome was never part of any WebExtension standard. They do their own thing and WebExtension browsers decide which (if any) changes they want to support.

I’m with you on this. If Apple genuinely views privacy as a human right (and FWIW I believe that the right people at Apple do), then they need to learn about privacy by design.

I don’t think so. Sure, the Emerging Technologies division was shut down, but most of the Gecko team was left intact. (I am a Mozilla employee.)

The client is open source (and you can go to about:telemetry to see for yourself what it’s sending), the server side is open source, and much of that data is publicly accessible at https://telemetry.mozilla.org

That might be how those projects started, but it’s sure as hell not how they’re run now. There’s no way they could revert to hobbyist projects and survive. Either they would die off or the money would fork them.
