+1 I'm interested in automatic video editing too. Both automatic jumpcutting, and also using audio cues like "cut!" to control the auto-editor during recording. Take a look here https://davidbieber.com/snippet

Here's one possibility. Creating a quoteback could: 1. tell archive.org to create a snapshot of the page 2. store a link both to the human-friendly version of the page and the archive snapshot 3. then the reader's browser (rather

This is fantastic -- I will certainly turn to this instead of awk/sed in many instances. I expect I'll use this in place of particularly tricky greps too. Really nice that you can seamless interleave standard bash commands with py

This is fantastic :D! Thanks for building this. As a feature request, I would love to be able to restrict my time spent on websites I arrive at _from_ e.g. HackerNews, not just _on_ HackerNews itself.

Cool ideas. I’m definitely interested in adding browser history into the mix. Transaction data, I already collect automatically (and semimanually label because the existing auto labeling is insufficient) and find quite valuable.

Love this question. I've written up part of my strategy for doing this here: https://davidbieber.com/post/2019-12-29-track-your-life-in-a... The short version is: (1) I manually enter the activity(s) I do each day

I haven't used rust, so can you explain this to me: If I do the rust equivalent of: def add1(x): return x + 1 x = 1 y = add1(x) z = add1(x) then will x have been deallocated by the first call to add1 and

Each data point is a bunch of features x_1, x_2, ..., x_n. You can make new features for your data points using whatever functions you like -- it doesn't matter if they're linear. Let's say we add two new features x_{n+1} = f
