making "Product" decisions is a broad topic. Who is to say a FrontEnd engineer didn't start as an amazing UX person? I think your comment is an (IMHO incorrect) blanket statement that is impossible to apply to all engineers.

As a CTO, I disagree with your disagreement :) Engineers dont want a "script for implementation". They want to exhibit autonomy and creativity to the product as much as everyone else, especially product managers. I am not saying

One solution is to cookie persist the user to the primary site and have a TTL to allow for some replication lag. Facebook does something similar here.

Bc iptables would run locally on each server. So you would access localhost:8000 which iptables would auto load balance to the nodes consul had. There is no central iptables server
