I have never found search console useful for anything other than random 404's and one-off server errors. When a site is hit by an algorithmic penalty there is never any clue as to why.

Most people would not care, once a brand name is established it can sell out and continue to profit for at least 20 years or more. Proof is just about any footwear or fashion brand you care to think of.

I'm in the UK and just before the banking crisis you could get a decent house for £50k with a 120% self-certified mortgage. These are the same people who often resort to the coffee/netflix argument. £50k is now a deposit.

There was a business in the UK doing this but didn't work out any cheaper than a regular rental from Enterprise. Economy of scale at such a level is hard to beat.
