I'm in the UK. If you give me a passport as ID I have no way of knowing if it is genuine. If you present a company letterhead I can, at least, check the company exists, verify your name is the same as a registered director and also see

Same way a passport is, I guess? 99% of organisations that ask for a passport image have no way of knowing whether it is fake or not, a letterhead is slightly easier to mock up though.

The Gov't believed it was tax avoidance for the simple reason that it was. It is still possible to build a business in the UK the old fashioned way of working hard and making personal sacrifices.

Look at Ireland, low corporation tax (we won't even force you to pay it at all if you're big enough) and a booming economy - producing feck all. If it wasn't low taxes that achieved this then what was it?

Food is commoditized to the point where a lot of it involves slavery (Southern Europe) or exploitation of the state welfare system (UK), etc. So not quite the same. Without homes to rent there would only be homes to buy and live in, taking

Showing my age, but back in 1976, where I lived, water was being brought in by tanker day and night during the hottest summer on record. I'm not saying privatisation has been a glowing success but supply issues were much worse in the d

Seen this on a couple of sites. In one instance I submitted a support ticket that went unanswered for a while and then, out of the blue, good news - the issue has been resolved and you should see your site appearing in search results very s

You can access a monzo business account on the web to access statements and such. I believe they also have an emergency web access feature for personal accounts. https://monzo.com/blog/2018/06/13/how-to-g

I have a monzo personal and business account and I haven't had any major issues. As a former Barclays customer, they'd have to be fairly terrible to be any worse though. I did try an open a Starling account once but they claimed m

A lot of actors lie about their age so I wouldn't hold out too much hope on getting an accurate result on that one. I get your point though about the multiple results for something where there clearly is no authoritative answer.
